COMING UP! The Inclusive Class Radio Show 04/20/12

Did you know that colleges across the U.S. are beginning to embrace inclusive education as well? Students with intellectual disabilities now have options for college, that were previously not available. On Friday, we will be interviewing Cate Wier, from Think College about the various programs that exist at the college level for intellectually disabled students.

Cate is the project coordinator for three federally funded grant project at the Institute for Community Inclusion at the University of Massachusetts Boston, all related to postsecondary education for people with intellectual disabilities. She has also worked as a disability support coordinator and faculty member for the NH Community College System and in many capacities with adults with developmental disabilities in community settings. Cate’s expertise includes the provision of individual supports for postsecondary education for people with intellectual or developmental disabilities, universal design for learning, and person-centered planning.

Join us Friday, April 20, 2012 on The Inclusive Class Radio Show as Terri Mauro and I interview Cate about inclusive education at the college level!
