"I Was in Special Education" - 08/31/12
Over the past year, The Inclusive Class Podcast has been proud to host numerous expert guests on the topic of inclusive education for students with special needs. This week, we are excited to interview a guest who can give us a first-hand account of what it is like to grow up with learning disabilities and placed in special education.
Lachrista Greco, M.A., a freelance feminist writer and yoga instructor based in Madison, Wisconsin, appears on The Inclusive Class Podcast to talk about her experiences (both good and bad) with special education. She will give us valuable insight into what she believes teachers and schools need to do in order to best support students with special needs. In addition, Lachrista will explain why she thinks it's important for children with special needs to be placed in the general classroom setting. To find out more about Lachrista and her work, you can visit her website at Rebel Grrrl Italiana.
